HI I'M JULIA

my friends call me jules

Over the last couple of years I have continued to learn more about myself. what I love, what I find the most joyous, and what fills my cup. Yet there are a few things that remain the same.

I love being creative. I love capturing genuine laughs and genuine moments. I love bringing out the best in people.

I have been fascinated with all of those things since I was a little girl. I've always tried to find a creative outlet whether that was through making videos, music, journaling, scrapbooking, and more. Yet, out of all the different outlets, photography always inspired me the most. I was gifted my first camera on my 10th birthday. I forced my parents and siblings to sit down in our living room just to take photos or make videos. I still have that camera to this day.

I cannot wait to meet you, take your photo, and become lifelong friends along the way.

Growing up I was notorious for always "having a camera in your face." Whether it was with my iphone or the random different cameras i collected over the years. I started my first photo album of my own personal photos I took around freshman year of highschool. It was mostly photos of my family or friends. I'm one of the people that take candid photos of you whether you like it or not.

Before I became a photographer, my parents always told me I am too much of a people person and free spirit to not at least try. At the time, I didn't know too much about the photography industry nor did I believe in myself enough to try. I ended up going to college. After a couple of years of trying different career paths and even committing to a few, I finally had the confidence to pursue something I have always known I loved, photography. While there was trial and error, I have learned what I want my work to look like, how to relate to clients from all different lifestyles, and make it unique through my lens. Describing my photography in a few words would be... Bold, Tasteful, Classic, Dainty, Timeless, Detail oriented.  I truly believe the art of simplicity stands the test of time.
